TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account

The Broker — The Short Version

TabTrade launched in Q1 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.

His background is relevant. It means the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. It is more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.

The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade did the opposite. Interesting choice.

Market coverage: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For a platform that launched in March 2026, that coverage is not narrow.

Platforms

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from a single account. Most brokers pick one platform. Access to both makes a difference. Pick what suits your style.

MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have traded on MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. A lot of traders find it more natural after using both.

Direct FIX connectivity is available for automated strategies but needs the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is said to be coming. That would round things out when it arrives.

What You Pay

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Commission-free. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your real cost sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade does not.

VIP account. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, faster fills, custom pricing. Not relevant to typical accounts. Skip it unless you run serious volume.

How Fast Are the Fills

This is the thing TabTrade stands apart. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform run a much wider range.

Does it matter? For short-term trading, it does. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the setup is serious. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Combine that execution speed with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the total package is strong. Few brokers with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.

Safety

Now, the detail you need to be straight about. TabTrade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Lots of FCA-regulated options out there.

That said. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Scam brokers do not bother with Equinix connectivity. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your decision.

What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that is worth it is your call.

Deposit Bonus

TabTrade runs a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Standard sign-up bonus. You deposit, the broker top up your balance. Usual conditions attached: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before funding.
